About WSR
Click here to step inside the WSR ranks
Western Sydney Rollers was founded in September 2008, by a group of like-minded women wanting to bring the sport of Roller Derby to the greater west. The following year the league was incorporated to become a not for profit organisation, and has not looked back since, now boasting over 100 members.

WSR's introduction to bouting came in 2010, when they took part in interleague bouts against Sydney, Wollongong and Newcastle Roller Derby Leagues and also competed in the inaugural Eastcoast Smackdown. This was a huge wakeup call for WSR, forcing the girls back to training to refine their skills and form strategies under the guidance of a team of dedicated trainers, bench managers and fitness conditioners.
This year is set to be a big year for Western Sydney Rollers as they take their "hard-hitting" and "no-nonsense" approach to Derby up and down the East Coast of Australia. The skills and knowledge WSR have gained since their initial bouts will be put to the test with regular bouts against Sydney Roller Derby's Intraleague Teams, participation in the Eastern Region Roller Derby (ERRD) tournament, and other interleague bouts.
Although only 3 years young, Western Sydney Rollers is making it's mark in Women's Flat Track Roller Derby, with an eagerness to prove themselves not only on the track, but in the greater community of Western Sydney.
